How to clip webpages, articles to Evernote on iPad iPhone iPod. webclipping

05:14
Here is what I think is the best for each use case: to clip the whole webpage or to save only the article from a page Use EverWebClipper (HD) app and its bookmarklet in Safari to clip lots of different things from a single or multiple sources into a single note Personally I prefer to just use email for this. There is also EverClip app but I haven't found it to be much more useful compared to simply using email to add stuff to Evernote. 9 Signs Your Phone Has a Virus

11:45
How to tell if your smartphone has a virus? If you think that your phone is your own private zone, you may be very wrong. So far, there is no such device that can’t be hacked. Viruses pose a serious danger to modern smartphones. They can cause such problems as personal data theft, enormous phone bills, and malfunction of different apps. Luckily, there are ways to recognize that a virus has infiltrated your device. Do you know, for example, that your smartphone isn't supposed to be hot to the touch? But viruses and worms use your smartphone's resources, putting a serious strain on the gadget. As a result, infected phones often suffer from overheating. TIMESTAMPS: The battery gets drained much faster than usual 1:18 You experience disruptions during calls 1:56 You notice mysterious outgoing calls 2:30 There are constant pop-ups 3:08 There are unfamiliar apps on your phone 3:46 Your gadget overheats 4:13 Your smartphone uses much more data than usual 4:41 There are mysterious charges on your phone bill 5:22 There are frequent program crashes 6:07 The most common smartphone viruses 6:50 How to protect your gadgets 9:25 #phonevirus #phonetricks #smartphonesecrets Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - If you begin to notice that the battery of your smartphone depletes faster than before, the device may be infected with a virus or malware. - If your calls often drop or you have strange disruptions during conversations, this should ring alarm bells. - You should be suspicious if you start to notice outgoing phone calls you didn’t make or texts you didn’t send. If no friend or family member used your phone, the chances are high that your gadget is infected with a virus. - In most cases, constant ads and pop-ups appearing on the screen are sure signs of a smartphone virus. You probably downloaded an app with adware on your gadget. - A very common sign of a virus is the appearance of unfamiliar apps on your phone. You know for sure that you haven't installed them, but they do exist. - If your smartphone is infected with a virus, you might spot a noticeable increase in data usage. A malicious bug can use the data source of your gadget to send out information and show pop-up ads. - An enormous phone bill is a sure sign that your smartphone has caught a virus. Some malware sends out a huge number of messages until you're left with a significant phone bill. - If a game you're playing on your smartphone suddenly crashes for the first time, it's suspicious. But if this starts to occur repeatedly, something has definitely gone wrong. - A Trojan virus can uninstall apps on your gadget or make your phone send expensive texts. - Worm is typically spread with the help of text messages. The worst part is that it doesn't need any interaction with a user to be activated. - Ransomware disables a gadget and makes its owner pay ransom to regain control over their phone. - Don't let your device download any apps until you enter a password. - Install a good anti-virus. Free inbuilt programs aren't bad, but they aren't really effective. If you use the internet on a daily basis, you should have a professional anti-virus. Quicktip: How I send web articles to an iOS device (iPad/iPhone) for later reading

02:28
I do a fair amount of traveling so to help pass the travel hours, I like to load up my iPad for reading. I prefer reading in the iBook or Kindle format rather than in a browser. Add to this the fact that on a plane you are mostly offline. Once you signup for a free account, Kindle provides an email address that places PDF's in your mobile reader. As I scour the web for interesting topics to read, I can easily create a PDF in a clean Safari READER format and send to my Kindle app for later reading I am sure there are other ways to accomplish the same thing but this works for me. I hope you find this helpful.

A Simple Trick on How to Save Up A Lot of Money Fast

05:58
How to save up money easily for a house or for a new car? Learn a genius hack on how to save more money each month. As a bonus, we'll tell teach you how to safely hide your cash. "If only I could stop spending money on stuff I don’t need, I would buy so many useful things!" Have you ever thought this? Then this video is just for you. RULE 1: Subtract the last digit from each number to get a zero at the end. It’s easier to “zero out” cash into a piggy bank, and you may use a savings account or any other bank account to transfer the money from your card. RULE 2: Save everything that’s left over before payday — "zero out" one more time at the end of the month. For instance, you still have $300 in cash and $1,000 in the bank — just move it to your savings account. TIMESTAMPS «Zero out» your money every evening 0:31 Move any unspent money to your saving account 1:46 What are the advantages of this simple method? 2:05 The worst places to hide your cash: In the backyard 2:41 Under your mattress 2:58 In shopping bags 3:13 In old wallets and handbags 3:27 In laundry baskets 3:40 Behind a picture or photo in a frame 3:58 In safes that are not bolted down 4:13 In drawers and cabinets 4:34 Where to hide your money 4:53 SUMMARY If you feel like you have run out of places to hide your money, try the following suggestions: • Wrap your money in a plastic bag, and tape it to the bottom of the kitchen counter or to the bottom of your kid’s toy box (the best option is to create a false bottom in it). • In a waterproof container stored in the lowest drawer of your refrigerator or freezer. Make sure it doesn’t read "Ice cream" or something else yummy thieves might want to try. • Hide your savings among buttons, threads, and other sewing accessories. Unless thieves suddenly need to sew something, they most probably won’t look for your money in there. • In a pair of old shoes, clothes, or maybe in an old computer that no longer works. Make sure it all looks like junk you have not disposed of yet. 15 Clear Signs Your Phone Was Hacked

11:59
How to Know if You've Been Hacked? If you think your smartphone is your private zone, you may be very wrong. So far, there is no such device that can’t be hacked. We often see our smartphones as our secure digital havens. We use them to keep our most personal information: from pictures to credit card details. Some people even save their passwords in Notes. That’s a bit too much, right? You probably have all your text and email communication, including work stuff, based or synchronized on your phone. To reduce the potential risks, we figured out three things: the ways your phone can be hacked, how to recognize them, and how to protect your phone from hackers. TIMESTAMPS You find new apps on your phone (you didn't install them) 3:45 Some apps stop working like they used to 4:20 Your phone has suddenly started to run out of juice very quickly. 4:37 Your smartphone seems slower than it used to be. 5:01 Your phone gets warm. 5:31 Your phone reboots itself, switches off, dials numbers, or starts applications. 5:56 Unknown phone numbers appear in your "Recent calls," and it costs you. 6:20 You cannot switch off your device 6:47 There are noises or echo during calls 7:12 You notice an increased use of mobile data 7:28 "Pop-ups" start appearing on your device out of nowhere 8:49 Emails sent from your phone are blocked by spam filters 9:15 You can’t make calls, or they are being dropped 9:38 #phonesecrets #onlinesafety SUMMARY What should you if you see any of these signs on your phone? Try running mobile anti-malware software, delete all the apps you have not installed, and unreliable apps eating too much traffic. If it is possible, you can also reset your phone and go back to original settings. If that does not seem enough to you, consult a professional. How can anyone steal your personal data? - The easiest way is by taking possession of your phone for a few minutes and installing spy apps such as Spy Phone App, Spyzie, or Spyera. These apps are basically mobile trackers that record the incoming and outgoing phone calls and text messages. They can track GPS location, online activity and communication going on Whatsapp, Facebook, Viber, and Skype. - Via an unprotected Wi-Fi network in a cafe or airport. The means of public Wi-Fi, you share all your traffic with everyone around you. Think of it next time you want to “Check in” somewhere exotic. - When charging your phone via an unknown USB (even in an airplane or a car), there is a risk that all your data will be revealed and transferred. That’s a lot of information that can be used against you. - SMS phishing. This happens when you receive a message with a link saying that it is, for example, your bank statement, a money transfer, or your photos. So you click it, download the file, and then reveal all your phone contents to hackers. - With the help of the Signalling System SS7, used by the majority of telephone stations all over the world, hackers can read your text messages, listen to your phone calls, and track your cell phone locations. But if you are not a celebrity, there is nothing to worry about. 13 Secrets to Keep Your Phone Battery Alive for Longer

09:24
Nothing can ruin your mood faster than having a low battery on your phone and no charger in sight. To avoid the mini panic attack we all have when that happens, try these 13 secret simple tricks to prolong your phone’s battery life. Pretty much all mobile apps send you Push-notifications. Taking advantage of this function eats up a lot of your phone's energy and kills the battery. Instead of using vibration, leave your phone on silent or use the ringtone setting with the volume turned down as low as possible. The minimum option for auto-lock is usually 15-30 seconds, but some models even allow you to set it to 10. It works miracles when it comes to saving battery. Airplane mode does the same. What’s also cool about it is that if you keep it on while your phone’s charging, your battery will get full faster. Letting the battery run all the way down actually damages it. That’s because modern lithium-based batteries are specifically made to be charged in short quick sessions. If that’s what they’re designed for, then we should do it that way. When you choose 4G in the settings, both 4G and 3G radios are switched on, which is why your phone loses charge two times faster. So if you really need to save the battery, turn off 4G or even 3G and go with 2G instead. Batteries produced by other companies usually cost less, but they’re also optimized worse than original ones, and this can harm your device. It's better to pay more once than spend a fortune repairing your phone. Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS Turn off notifications. 0:34 Switch off vibration. 1:06 Set your screen auto-lock to the minimum. 1:29 Dim the brightness of the display. 1:56 Turn off background App refresh. 2:18 Switch off 3G/LTE. 2:37 Turn on airplane mode. 3:00 Don't let your phone search for a signal. 3:25 Don’t wait until your battery is dead to charge your phone. 3:58 Don't use additional functions. 4:31 Keep calls short. 4:52 Adjusting network settings may help. 5:17 Avoid animated or moving background pictures. 5:56 Some more tips that’ll help prolong the life of your battery 6:27 SUMMARY -Turn off notifications from apps you rarely use. Keeping Bluetooth, WiFi, infrared capabilities, and GPS switched off until you need to use them does a lot for your battery life as well. -If you want to conserve energy on your phone, switch off the vibrate function. -If you really want your battery to serve you longer, put auto-lock on the shortest time available in your settings. -Turn the screen’s brightness to the lowest setting possible or at least as close to it as you can while still being able to see everything. -Auto app updates consume a lot of your phone's charge since the upgrades can be pretty big. -If you urgently need to save what little battery you have left, switch off not only Bluetooth, WiFi, and similar features, but 3G/LTE as well. -A quick way to switch off Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and mobile data is to put your phone on airplane mode. -If you notice the signal isn't perfect, just turn on airplane mode to prevent your phone from wasting battery searching for it. -Letting the battery run all the way down actually damages it, so don’t wait for your phone to “die” before charging it. -If your battery is running down, avoid using additional functions, like the camera. -The longer you talk, the faster your battery drains. So keep it short if you don’t want your phone to go black on you. -4G gives you a faster connection, but it uses a lot of juice to provide you with such outstanding service. -Go for a black background - when the picture is black, all the pixels are off, so your phone doesn’t have to use its energy to light them. -Use official batteries from your phone’s manufacturer. Prepare a new battery for use. Don’t skip on software updates. Avoid really low and high temperatures. iPhone or iPad Not Turning On? How to Fix a Dead iDevice

03:52
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch shows a black screen and doesn't turn on when you press any button, you might think that it's broken and that you now need to replace it. But don’t panic. There are lots of things to do to fix your device. And usually, there is an easy solution. For more information, take a look at: http://appletoolbox.com/2014/12/ipad-will-not-turn-fix-dead-device/ FOR RECOVERY MODE: http://appletoolbox.com/2013/09/ios-everything-dfu-recovery-mode/ FOR DFU MODE: http://appletoolbox.com/2013/09/ios-everything-dfu-recovery-mode/ Music: http://www.bensound.com/royalty-free-music Sonja: Hi, Sonja from Apple ToolBox here with you today. Sonja: I’m talking about a nightmare scenario. You press your iPad’s or iPhone’s power button and…NOTHING! Oh my goodness, what to do? How do we NOT panic? Sonja: I’m happy to report that there are quite a few things we can do before we run out to our local Apple Store with our iDevice emergency. Sonja: First things first Sonja: This probably is obvious to all but I’m saying it anyway. Make sure your iPad or iPhone really IS off. Press and hold the power button—you might just see the apple logo, which means everything is kosher. Cool! Sonja: If that doesn’t help, maybe your iDevice simply needs charging. Connect it to the charger for at least 1 hour and then try powering up. Sonja: If nothing still happens, make sure it’s not your charger. Borrow someone’s charger and see if that solves your problem. Sonja: If that still isn’t working for you, take a close look at your charging port. Is it dirty or greasy? If that’s the case, your iDevice may not be making contact with the charger. So clean both the port and the cable with a Q-Tip. Sonja: Just be very gentle when cleaning. You can use a drop or two of rubbing alcohol on the Q-Tip. Make sure both the port and cable are dry before reconnecting. Once dry, plug them in. Maybe a clogged port was the problem. Sonja: Okay, let’s say none of these solutions has worked so far. So let’s try a reset. Press and Hold the power button and the home button for at least 15 seconds. If this works, the apple logo will appear. You may need to try this a few times. Sonja: If you’re getting a message that says “Connect to iTunes” and nothing else, you need to put your iDevice into Recovery Mode. Look below in the description for a link to an article outlining how to do this. Sonja: If that doesn’t help, don’t give up! Let’s try and connect it to a computer and see if iTunes recognizes the iPad or iPhone. If iTunes recognizes the device, you should really consider performing a Restore. Sonja: If iTunes doesn’t recognize the iDevice, try putting it into DFU mode. To learn more about DFU, check the link in the description to our article. It provides a step by step tutorial. Sonja: If nothing worked, try connecting to a different computer. It should have the latest version of iTunes installed before you try to connect your device to it. Fingers crossed that this one worked. Sonja: If you are still stuck with a blank screen and a nonresponsive iDevice, the time has come to visit or call your local Apple Store. At this point, it could be your device needs a battery replacement or something more serious. Sonja: I hope it doesn’t come down to going to Apple Support, but if it does, you are in good hands. And hopefully your iDevice is still under warranty. Sonja: Let us know in the comments if you like this. Also, check out the links in the description to our articles for more tips on Restoring your iDevice and working in DFU mode. Sonja: Thanks for watching this video and remember to subscribe to Apple ToolBox to get all our latest videos. Sonja: I’ll catch up with you later!

12 Mistakes You Make When Charging Your Phone

09:43
How to charge your phone fast? How many times have you been heading out the door only to notice that your phone battery is about to die? Then comes the mad dash to find your charger and plug it in ASAP. But you don’t have time to wait for it to charge all the way! So, what can you do to get a fast charge? It turns out many phones start to charge faster and more effectively if you take off the case. When you keep certain types of cases on while charging your phone, this can cause your device to overheat. That's why if you feel that your smartphone tends to get too hot while it’s on the charger, try removing the case. If you wanna know what other mistakes you make when charging your smartphone, watch the video! TIMESTAMPS: Not charging your smartphone from a wall socket 0:41 Not charging your portable charger 1:30 Using an improper USB adaptor 2:16 Constantly checking your battery charge level 3:04 Not switching off features you don't need at the moment 3:42 Not turning on Airplane Mode 4:12 Not using Battery-saving mode 5:00 Not removing the case 5:40 Letting your phone get hot 6:15 Using wireless charging 7:03 Not maintaining your battery 7:35 Believing popular hacks that promise to charge your phone in 10 seconds 8:12 #chargingphonefast #smartphonebattery Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - Charging a smartphone from a laptop with the help of a USB cord is undoubtedly super convenient. But it’ll take as much as one hour longer than when you use a wall socket. - If you don't have a portable power bank, consider getting one because it’s a great investment. - You need to get an adaptor that puts out exactly as much power as your phone can handle. Some smartphones have their own wall adaptors but you can also use other models that have similar features. - Lighting up your smartphone's screen kills the battery almost as fast as using the Internet does. So when you constantly check your battery level as your phone’s charging, you’re only slowing down the whole process. - If you're in a hurry, it may slip your mind to check if you have some unnecessary apps open and running on your smartphone. Things like Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth just drain your phone's battery power and slow down the charging process. - When your smartphone is switched on, it needs a lot of energy to function. If you think that turning the display off means your cell phone doesn't expend energy anymore, that's just not true. - Battery-saving mode can really come in handy when you need to make your phone last for as long as possible. But few people know that switching this mode on can also make charging much faster. - Remove the cover from your smartphone before you plug it in to charge. - You shouldn't let your device become too hot when it’s charging. Try to charge it in a cool place. - Wireless charging is certainly very convenient. At the same time, wireless chargers still can't fill your phone’s battery as fast as usual wired chargers can. - If you do regular battery maintenance, you'll prolong the lifespan of your phone's battery. On top of that, you won't have any problems with the speed at which it charges. - And this widely-advertised method of charging your phone in 10 seconds is nothing but a myth. What to Do If Your Phone Falls In Water?

10:56
How to Save a Wet Cell Phone. Things happen, and sometime your favorite smartphone might find itself in water. What should you do if you dropped your phone in a sink, a bowl, or forgot to take it out of your pocket and jumped into water? Water is your phone’s worst enemy, capable of wiping out all your pictures and stored data. Fortunately, there are simple things and easy tips that’ll cost you no money you can do to try to save your phone. TIMESTAMPS Take it out of the liquid immediately. 0:48 Turn it off. 1:42 Remove the battery. 2:10 Remove the SIM card, memory card, and all peripherals. 3:01 Dry the phone with a cloth or microfiber towel. 4:02 Don’t use an oven, microwave, or hair dryer. 4:26 Gently shake your phone dry. 5:06 Put the phone in a vacuum bag. 5:32 Put it in a bowl of rice or another absorbent material. 5:59 Clean the phone with rubbing alcohol. 7:07 Store your phone in a safe, dry place. 7:48 Wait. 8:14 While you’re waiting, check your warranty. 9:00 Turn it on, and cross your fingers. 9:30 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -The more exposure your phone has to the water, the more water will get inside the case and damage the internal components. -If the power stays on, the phone runs the risk of short-circuiting, which will cause more damage to the mechanisms inside. -If you can take the battery out, do it immediately. Removing the energy supply will help prevent the phone from being fried. -Remove all the covers and plugs that cover the charging port, headphone port, or any gap or slot in the phone. These can trap moisture inside the phone or be damaged themselves. -Avoid using paper as particles can come loose and clog up the ports of the phone. -The heat produced by a hair dryer can cause significant damage to the internal components of your phone, and vaporizing the moisture inside the phone can just spread it further. -Shaking your phone can get rid of a lot of those pesky droplets of moisture stuck inside the phone. -Put the phone in a plastic bag, and suck out the air with a vacuum cleaner or shop vac. -Uncooked rice is naturally absorbent, and water can flow right out of a phone and into the rice. Put the phone and all its parts in a bowl or jar of rice, and leave it there for at least 48 hours. -Try submerging your phone in circuit-safe cleaner or pure grain alcohol, which will absorb the moisture, clean any impurities, and ultimately evaporate without leaving a conductive residue. -Don’t keep the phone in a jar of rice next to the sink or washing machine, for instance, where accidents can happen. -It is very, very important to give your phone at least 2 days to dry. -It’s possible that you have your warranty through a third party vendor, such as Asurion or SquareTrade. They might cover accidental spills or submersion. -Once you’re sure your phone is dry, you can plug it back in and try to turn it on. If it powers up, you’re in business. How to Improve/Save/Enhance Battery Life - iPhone , iPad , iPod : iOS : To Do's , How To's & Myth's

40:01
How to Improve/Save/Enhance Battery Life - iPhone , iPad , iPod : iOS : To Do's , How To's & Myth's Poor battery life is one of the top complaints among mobile phone owners, especially as they run power-hungry apps that can chew up a battery charge before the day is half over.  7 Factors which impacts the Battery Life / Performance are as below :  1) Location Services - GPS 2) Background Apps - Uses Data 3) Display - Ambient Light Sensor 4) iTunes and AppStore - Keeps tracking your Apps in AppStore for updates - Data 5) Hey Siri - Constantly uses Battery as the Microphone is on  6) Battery Preferences  7) Mobile Data usages The Super Myth : 1 Stupendous - Mother of all Myths to Enhance the Battery life is  Closing Apps to Save Your Battery -Only Makes Things Worse it feels like a cleansing, a reset. Best of all, with no apps running, your battery’s in great shape! Right?Wrong On iOS, for instance, there are five different states an app can be in at any given time.   1)Not Running is obvious: You haven’t launched it, it’s not running.  2)Active is up on the screen and doing stuff.  3)Inactive is a transitional phase, where it’s on the screen but not doing anything as you switch to something else. 4)Background is when the app isn’t in front of your face but is working, refreshing your emails or bringing in the latest fire tweets. 5)Last, Suspended, which is when an app is in the background and doing absolutely nothing. It just sits in memory like a bump on a log. Generally, there's no need to force an app to close unless it's unresponsive. 15 Mistakes That Shorten the Life of Your Phone

09:07
How to charge the battery correctly? Why do the phone batteries decrease so quickly? We have 15 amazing tips that will make your smartphone live a longer life! Nowadays one can hardly imagine life without a cell phone. And it happens quite often that our gadgets start to act up just half a year after we bought them. It is frustrating, but in most cases, we ourselves are to blame! Let’s face it — we don’t always handle our devices properly. TIMESTAMPS Recharge your battery more often 0:45 Don’t keep the battery charging all the time 1:24 Don’t buy cheap chargers 2:01 Be careful with «ultrafast» chargers 2:28 Remove your protective case 2:49 Drain your battery from time to time 3:10 Avoid high temperatures 3:29 Avoid cold temperatures 4:02 Avoid bright wallpaper and adjust screen brightness 4:34 Watch out for voltage fluctuations 5:19 Clean the ports and wipe the display 5:45 Keep the phone far from water 6:40 Handle your phone carefully 7:15 Avoid software updates 7:42 Use cloud storage 8:29 SUMMARY - To increase your gadget’s battery life, you should recharge it more often. The best option is to do it each time the battery power indicator drops to 10-20%. This will increase the number of discharge cycles up to 1000-1100 cycles. - An inbuilt controller stops the battery from taking more current than necessary, so there is absolutely no risk of overcharging the battery and destroying it. - There have been situations when a person was using a non-native charger, and it caused a fire in the house! And another terrible thing that can happen if you use non-native chargers and cables is getting an electric shock. - We recommend you to avoid using chargers that claim to charge your battery fully in less than an hour. - If your smartphone has a bulky protective case, it might cause the device and its battery to overheat during a lengthy recharging session. - It is recommended to discharge your phone’s battery every three months to 0% and then immediately charge it to 100% to get rid of the extremes of full charge/discharge. - A high temperature is the worst thing you can imagine for lithium-ion batteries: they totally can’t stand overheating. - Carry the phone in an inner pocket of your coat or an outer pocket but encased in a protective covering. Low temperatures are harmful to the battery because it needs more power to keep itself warm enough to function. - Try to lower the brightness of your screen at least by 30-40%. - At the approach of a thunderstorm, never charge your phone. Actually, the same goes for all the electrical appliances you have. - To wipe the screen, use lint-free wipers and whatever you do, never use window cleaning liquids. They contain ammonia which can damage the screen irrevocably. - If you drop your cell phone into a pool or a sink, the first thing you should do after you get it out is turn it off and remove the battery (if it’s possible, of course). - Don’t put your cell phone on the dashboard when driving. Constant moving and bumping can cause a lot of damage. - Read user reviews before you hit the update button. The problem with such updates is that it’s either very hard or impossible to go back to the previous version of the software. - Even if you have a lot of free space on your hard drive, it’s better to use cloud storage anyway. This way your phone won’t be clogged with too much data so that it will perform much better.
