The Most Worthless (very low) Currencies in Asia

01:49
A currency is money in any form when in actual use or circulation as a medium of exchange. The UN recognizes 180 national currencies as legal tender. Some Asian nations have paper bills pegged at over several thousands for just a dollar. Asia has many least valuable currencies than any other continent. While the value of some of these currencies is deliberately kept low for specific reasons, value of most of them is low due to poor leadership. Here are the 7 most worthless currencies in the world as of 2014, with exchange rate in Unite States dollar. 7) South Korean Won (1 US dollar = 1,101.49) South Korea has deliberately manipulated its monetary policy to keep its money cheap. This makes the nation’s exports cheaper than those of competitors like Japan. How come the home to global giants like Kia, Samsung and Hyundai has a currency worth .0008 US$? It’s simple. They like it that way. They deliberately manipulate monetary policy to keep their money cheap which makes their exports cheaper than those from competitors like Japan. 6) Iraqi Dinar (1 US dollar = 1,154.44) Plunging oil prices and terrorist activities are impacting the value of Iraqi Dinars negatively. The oil-rich nation is basically enmeshed in a brutal civil war without any cohesive social fabric to pull it back together. It’s not looking good for the Iraqi dinar revaluation. 5) Cambodian Riel (1 US dollar = 4,055.64) Cambodia is still very poor; average annual income is just $946 and malnutrition among children is widespread. Although Cambodia is rich in natural resources, years of war and internal conflict have made it a poor country. The popular tourist destination’s future looks brighter. Tourism accounts for 17% of the Gross Domestic Product. There’s oil being found. 4) Laotian Kip (1 US dollar = 8,063.87) Around three-fourths of the work force of Laos is engaged in growing rice. More than a third of the nation’s population lives below the global poverty line of US $1.25 PPP a day. Lao economy is growing quickly but ¾ of the work force is tied up in growing rice. The government’s goal to come off from the UN Development Program’s list of least-developed countries by 2020 is achievable. 3) Indonesian Rupiah (1 US dollar = 12,869.98) Awful infrastructure, rampant corruption and foot-dragging bureaucrats are affecting the value of the Indonesian Rupiah. The archipelago nation subsidizes gas prices so much, it doesn’t have enough left over to build modern infrastructure. 2) Vietnam Dong (1 US dollar = 21,385.80) Vietnam is astonishingly exotic and utterly compelling nation. The value of the Dong is kept low to boost exports. The nation has been, for much of its history, a predominantly agricultural civilization based on wet rice cultivation. Deep poverty has declined significantly in Vietnam. The dong is kept low to boost exports and everyone seems to like it that way. 1) Iran Rial (1 US dollar = 26,954.18) Asia’s number least valuable currency is Iran Rial. Iran is hit really hard by the international sanctions over the nuclear program. This West Asian nation’s economy is a mixed economy. Around 60 percent of the economy is centrally planned. Iranian president said recently that the country has the potential to become one of the ten largest economies in the world within the next three decades. Bahraini Dinar: The dinar (Arabic: دينار‎ Dīnār Baḥrēnī) (sign: .د.ب or BD; code: BHD) is the currency of Bahrain. It is divided into 1000 fils (فلس). The name dinar derives from the Roman denarius. Rial falls to lowest ever rate against US dollar

02:47
(27 Dec 2016) LEAD IN: The Iranian rial has fallen to its lowest ever rate against the dollar. The drop is bad news for savers in the Islamic Republic, but makes the country's exports more attractive to the rest of the world. STORY-LINE: Iran's currency is under pressure. This week it fell to 41,600 rials to 1 US dollar, its lowest point ever. The exchange rate was around 37,000 rials in mid November. On Monday, rates in Tehran's open currency were changing every few minutes. "Surely this (the fall of the rial) negatively impacts people's lives," says Tehran resident Babaei. "Lots of foreign goods are imported into our country, and many of the things people need come from abroad. All this needs foreign currencies, when the prices of foreign currencies are high goods will be more expensive." At a currency exchange shop in the capital, cashiers are well aware of the shifting value. Exchange shop owner Hamidipoor has noticed big changes in US dollar and Euro rates in the last four to six weeks. Iran's currency has depreciated by around 450 percent over the last ten years. It was buoyed by the 2015 nuclear deal when international sanctions against the country were lifted in exchange for it limiting its enrichment of uranium. But the accord's impact has faded and a host of reasons are contributing to the rial's descent. Since Donald Trump's election victory, the US dollar has been strengthening. Meanwhile, Trump's unelaborated campaign promise to renegotiate the Iran deal has sparked uncertainty. The currency drops means people's savings are losing value. But according to economic analyst Morteza Allahdad, it's good news for Iranian exports. "Export-oriented countries usually try to keep their currencies weaker so that they can export more goods to competitive markets," he says. "So an increase in foreign currency exchange rate is not necessarily bad, and if it is well controlled it will be to the betterment of the country's economy." Iran's government in the past has manipulated its currency market to cover government budget deficits. It does that through using the difference between the lower government exchange rate and the higher market exchange rate to gain rials from oil sales, a move known in the financial world as arbitrage. Iranian rial falls to its lowest rate on record

02:13
(5 Sep 2018) The Iranian rial has fallen to its lowest rate on record, with the currency now trading at over 150,000 to the US dollar. Since Saturday, the start of the Iranian working week, the rial has dropped over a quarter of its value. On Wednesday, the end of the working week, currency exchange shops in Tehran posted rates of over 150,000 rials to 1 US dollar. Worried Tehran residents lined up outside of beleaguered moneychangers on Wednesday. Many exchange shops in downtown Tehran simply turned off their electronic signs showing the current rate for the US dollar while others wanting hard currency sought out informal money traders on street corners. "The market is very chaotic and confusing," said Yunes, 27, seeking euros to travel to Turkey for business. A couple planning on getting married soon were also after converting their rial savings into US dollars to protect its value from further falling. There was no immediate acknowledgement of the drop on state media. The collapse of Iran's currency has been fanned by US President Donald Trump's decision to pull America out of the nuclear deal with world powers in May.   That's despite the United Nations acknowledging Tehran still abides by the deal's terms, which saw it limit its enrichment of uranium in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions. Visit this rare coin store at http://buysellgoldsilvercoins.com You can come to A Village Stamp & Coin to sell your paper money. We buy all kinds of paper money, from the lowest grade to the highest grade stuff. What I'd like to tell you, and show you is what we buy in stuff like this. You see a lot of it. This is in my three-for-a-dollar bucket. Alright? And people love to dig in here and just take little souvenirs home. Now understand, when you come in with this kind of stuff, you're not going to make much money on this. This is really cheap. I mean really cheap. You know it's pennies is what we pay for stuff like this. Let me show you something a little bit better than that. Right here we have, everything in this case is a dollar. These are notes that are a little bit better. Stuff, that you know, here's an old German note from World War One. Here's some old Cuban money. There's all kinds of stuff in here from all kinds of countries. We sell these notes for a dollar apiece. And you can come in and pick through here, pick whatever you like. Now, on to a little better stuff than that. What you've been seeing is all world paper money. In this case over here, I have hundreds of notes that we buy. And these notes I buy anywhere from a quarter to fifty, sixty, eighty, hundreds of dollars. It depends on the note. I also have back here some paper money in books, that you can look through. And this is all our 'world' paper money. As you can see, there is quite a variety and quite a selection of it. Now, if you'll just look right up here, in our terrafold, this is all U.S. Small sized paper money and so on. We buy this. It runs anywhere from a dollar and a quarter a note that I would pay, to five, six, seven, eight dollars a note. Here's a Ten Dollar Silver Certificate, it's probably worth, I'd pay ten or fifteen bucks for that. This is not expensive stuff. You see lots of it, and lots of people have this kind of material. Here's what's called an old Funny Back. So that's some of the U.S. stuff that we have. Now let me show you some of the old United States paper money from here, that we buy. Follow me over here. You'll see in this case here, I have anything from Civil War paper money, money that's what's called 'obsolete currency'. Old Large sized paper money, down in here. Right there. That's U.S. This is all paper money that is worth anywhere from five dollars a note, to hundreds of dollars a note. And I pay accordingly. If you'll notice that right here, this piece of money right here, that is Continental Currency from 1776, used by people like George Washington. So we have quite a selection, and we do buy all of this material. And the prices range all over the map, from rarity, to condition, and so on. Okay, now you've kind of see a smattering of what it is—paper money, there's just all kinds of it. We also deal in things, these are British Pounds that we buy for exchange, and sell for exchange. You're going to take a trip to England, you might want to come and see us. You can get the exchange rate here cheaper than you can in England. There's Euros. Swiss Francs. So, you can see that we do anything from old rare paper money, to exchangeable money. We also have certified paper money. This is world. This is expensive stuff. This note right here, I think this is highlighted in our website, I'm not sure, but this is about a five thousand dollar note. So we'll buy from the bottom, three-for-a-dollar junk for pennies, or we'll pay really, really good money for really really good old paper money. This is just a cool note. And—just because everybody likes to see him—when is the last time you saw a five hundred dollar bill? So come see us at A Village Stamp & Coin. If you have paper money, we'd be glad to help you out with the value of it, or purchase if from you. Thank you for coming by! Visit us at http://buysellgoldsilvercoins.com

That combined with a solid user interface make it a winner in our book. Cex.io has probably the lowest fee schedule in terms of credit card deposits and withdrawals. They charge 3.50% on credit card deposits and 1.20% on withdrawals to credit cards. for more info please visit: https://cex.io/fee-schedule https://cex.io/limits-commissions 2.) The most common fee types include charging the deposits and withdrawal from the exchange’s account and applying fees on the trading activity. The fees are usually depending on the type of transfer in terms of deposits and withdrawals. Bank wire transfers, credit card top ups and using alternative payment providers often costs money even before starting the trading activity on the bitcoin exchange platform. On the other hand, cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals are usually free of charges, you only have to pay for the transaction fee on the blockchain that is payable to the miners. A couple of exchanges, however, make it free to deposit or withdraw the funds from the exchange. In these cases, only the miner fee is due in case of cryptocurrency payouts, as this fee is not set by or payable to the platform, it is rather needed in order to verify the transactions on the blockchain. The other common fee type is the trading fee that is payable as a percentage on each transaction made on the platform. The trading fees usually range between 0.1% to 0.25%, but it can be up to 1% of the trading amount that is charged for making orders on the exchange. NOTE: Trading is a highly risky activity. Pound and euro lowest value in 10 months – what’s next for GBP?

05:50
A weekly look into the GBP/USD and EUR/USD pairs by our Chief Market Strategist, David Jones. The political turmoil in the UK and the EU’s public readiness for a no-deal Brexit have put further pressure on the pound. The euro, on the other hand continues to be impervious to volatility. This has been the case for the past few months. GBP/USD The uncertainty around Brexit has pushed the pound lower. Sterling has hit its lowest level since September last year at $1.2960. We saw a bullish divergence towards the end of the week – suggesting the weakness is losing steam – yet the downward trend remains. The level to watch is around $1.33 to $1.3350. Should it be able to clear this mark, we might see a shift in trend. There is a lot of expectation building up on next week’s developments. Study the GBP/USD chart here: https://capital.com/trading/platform/spotlight/123763777688772?side=buy EUR/USD The ECB will be releasing its decision regarding interest rates on Thursday. No major shifts in policy are expected but it could push some volatility. Meanwhile, the euro has not shown any signs of change, holding the same levels as last week at around $1.1850. Buyers continue to flock in at the $1.16 mark, just like the week before. The European currency is still looking for a breakout from this sideways range. Mexico Money Saving Tips!

08:04
So you want to go on Vacation to Mexico? We recently went to Puerto Vallarta and have been to Mexico in the past. So it’s time to share some Mexico Money Saving Tips with you guys to help you have the Ultimate VACATION for Less! Tip #1: When booking resorts in another country, I would recommend using something like TripAdvisor.com. You can see the ratings of each hotels in that city and what specific things other families or couples said about the resort. Tip #2: Oyster.com is another great resource that you can use. They travel to each of the hotels and take real pictures that haven’t been edited so you can see what the resort really looks like. Tip #3: You can lose a LOT of money when heading to another country, if you don’t understand exchange rates or how it all works. And if you exchange your money at the wrong location, you will pay a higher fee or even a higher percentage on the exchange rate. Your best bet is to use a credit card that has a 0% foreign transaction fee. I would NEVER pay with American Dollars and have them give you back Pesos. You will lose a lot of money and not realize. So it’s best to have Pesos on you to purchase with cash. If you can get to a Bank in Mexico, it’s your best bet to getting the lowest fees on your exchange rate. However, if traveling to the city or bank location is out of your way and will end up costing more money than exchanging somewhere else, your 2nd best bet is to exchange at the airport right after you land. NOTE: There are multiple exchange rate services at the airports typically. So check to see what exchange rates they have AND their service fee. Lastly, if you have enough time, you can order foreign cash through your bank BEFORE your trip! Tip #4: If you have never traveled to mexico before, you’ll want to know that you should never, ever take a first price you hear when purchasing products. You can always negotiate. You’ll go back and forth with the shop owner until you come to an agreed upon price. Tip #5: Shop around when it comes to excursions. Tip #6: In Mexico, always, always, always keep your valuables in the room safe! Laptops, Passports, money, jewelry, cameras… they should all go in your in-room safe every single time you leave it. Tip #7: For most places in Mexico, you won’t need any sort of power converter or power adapter. So that alone, will save you anywhere from $30- $100. Tip #8: For transportation, check with the hotel you are staying at and see what kind of transportation they offer for either free or for rent. Renting a car outside of the U.S. can be expensive insurance wise and may not be your best option. Riding the local bus transportation is something our family has done and depending on how touristy your destination is, you’ll see a lot of other people doing that as well. If you do choose to travel by Taxi, PLEASE make sure that you are getting in a REAL Taxi Cab! There are a lot of fakes and look-a-likes. Tip #9: Make sure your bank knows you will be traveling out of the country so they don’t put a block on your cards. Tip #10: If you need access to emails, texts or phone calls on your cell phone, call up your provider and see what sort of short-term out of the country type of plan they have. For us, it only cost us $2 a day to have those services while we were in Mexico! Tip #11: Bring any of the sweets or chocolates you love with you in your suitcase! Mexico’s chocolate is pretty bitter and they don’t use a lot of sugar in their food. You can head to one of their OXXO Gas Stations (similar to a 7-11) to buy American Snacks.. but they are expensive. Coming Up Soon: Duty Free Inside Airports and How to Save! Won-yuan exchange rate drop to its lowest in nearly three years

00:48
The Korean won has hit the highest level against the Chinese yuan in nearly three years. The Korean currency hovered around one-hundred-63-point-two won to the yuan in late Monday morning, appreciating by nearly 10 percent since the beginning of February. The won's value is the highest against the yuan since July 2011. Korean exporters say they are worried about the strengthening won as it hurts their price competitiveness against their Chinese rivals at a time their shipments to China show signs of falling. Korean exports to China fell by more than nine percent to 11-point-three billion U.S. dollars in May from a year earlier, according to the trade ministry.

Commodities and Currency Exchange Rate

04:19
http://www.forexconspiracyreport.com/commodities-and-currency-exchange-rate/ Commodities and Currency Exchange Rate By www.ForexConspiracyReport.com According to Bloomberg currencies of commodity exporters are falling as raw material demand from China falls off. Currencies of commodity-exporting nations including Australia fell as a gauge of raw materials slid to a five-year low on speculation demand will drop after China signaled slower economic growth. The Australian dollar sank to a seven-month low against its U.S. counterpart, dropping against most of its 31 major peers. South Africa’s rand and Brazil’s real weakened, and an index of emerging-market currencies reached the lowest level since 2009. Commodities and currency exchange rate are connected because a major source of income for nations like Brazil, South Africa and Australia is selling their raw materials to nations like China. As the Chinese economy slows so do those of their raw material suppliers and commodities and exchange rate are so connected that the real, rand and Aussie dollar are taking a hit as well. Australia Coal Exports and Pollution Control Efforts in China The Sidney Morning Herald notes that there is an Australian export risk due to an impending ban on dirty coal in China. Australian coal exporters are scrambling to clarify the fallout from changes to China's coal import rules, which could expose the industry to billions of dollars in lost sales as China seeks to cut air pollution. The Chinese government is to limit the use of imported coal with more than 16 per cent ash and 3 per cent sulfur from January 1, 2015, in a bid to improve air quality, especially in the major cities such as Beijing and around Shanghai. Apparently the only issue tying commodities and exchange rate for the Aussies is not just a fall off in Chinese manufacturing. Pollution in major Chinese cities has become a big issue and may be a driving force to reduce imports of low quality coal. The net effect for Australia either way will be a reduction in exports and a hit to the AUD. Trading Exporter Currencies The Financial Times reports that the export dip weighs on Australian growth. Australia’s economy slowed in the three months to end of June as a dip in exports cooled growth that had reached its fastest pace in two years during the previous quarter. Official figures on Wednesday showed gross domestic product had risen 0.5 per cent in the second quarter, slightly above analysts’ expectations but below the 1.1 per cent rate recorded three months earlier. Year-on-year growth moderated to 3.1 per cent over the financial year to June 30, against 3.5 per cent on the previous quarter, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics. A ten percent fall in economic growth is sufficient to drag down the value of the Aussie dollar because of the connection of commodities and currency exchange rate. Trading Exporter Nation Currencies To profit in Forex trading from the connection between commodities and currency exchange rate the trader needs to follow the world of commodities and commodity trading. Many times options traded on commodities give a hint as to where commodity values are going. And knowing who produces what and who they sell it to will help a trader make money in the world of commodities and currency exchange rate fluctuations. http://youtu.be/IH-FT2LIS9k

Iran: New dollar-Rial single exchange rate sets off buyer frenzy

02:38
Subscribe to our channel! rupt.ly/subscribe Citizens flocked to Tehran’s currency vendors to purchase US dollars on Tuesday, a day after the country's senior vice president, Eshaq Jahangiri, announced a unified exchange rate of 42,000 rials to be enforced from Tuesday onward. The decision came after a sharp fall in the value of the Iranian Rial on the unregulated market in recent weeks. Iran had been operating a two-tier currency system, with an official rate set for companies, and high street vendors operating in a free market. The government warned against trading at any higher price points saying that "selling a dollar even for 42,100 would be regarded as smuggling."
