We thank you for partnering with us to provide outstanding public service to local municipalities and our communities! We truly appreciate your service. Today we will review how to submit your information for Direct Deposit. We will cover how  to properly fill out an ACH form and how to submit the additional information required. First, under the Company name enter MuniTemps. Next, check the box for “Automatic Deposits” and enter the the Company Name; again in this case MuniTemps. Now, select your account type by checking the appropriate box for Checking, or Savings. Your next step will be to  enter your bank information. Start with the name of your bank. Please enter the city or branch name your bank is located. Next, enter  the City your bank is located in. Then Enter the State & ZIP code. Now, enter your bank’s  transit number. This is also known as a bank routing number. Then, enter your bank account number. If you are not  sure what your account number or routing number is, please Contact your local bank for this information. . Now that you have entered the bank information please complete  the form by adding your name, the date; and your signature. Now that the ACH Direct Deposit form is finished,  There is one last step for you to finalize the process. Lastly, You will need to submit corresponding bank information in ADDITION to this form for verification. You are required to submit Either a voided check, or a bank letter with your bank's ACH or bank routing number filled out If you do not have a voided check you can submit, or you do not know your bank's routing number, please request this information from your local bank.

This video will go over how to sign up for Square Payroll if you are switching from a previous payroll provider. Here you will add your employer taxpayer information like your EIN, Business Type, Legal Business Name and Address. This information should match what your EIN is registered under. At the bottom of the screen check the box if your are a semiweekly tax depositor. Selecting this box means you are required by the IRS to pay taxes semi-weekly. Next, enter the bank account you’d like us to use for payroll withdrawals. The next business day, Square Payroll will deposit and then withdrawal two small amounts to and from your bank account. Before you run payroll, we’ll ask you to confirm those deposits amounts. Next, choose how often you want to pay your employees. Then select a date for your first pay period to begin. Don’t worry, you can change the pay schedule and pay period start if you need to before processing your first payroll. Now let’s add your employees and choose how you would like to pay them. Here you can enter their First Name, Last Name and Payment Method. Employees paid by direct deposit will receive an email invitation to create a login, they will then to fill out their bank account and W-4 tax information. For Employees paid by manual check, you will be responsible for writing and delivering your own checks. This screen asks if you are paying any of these employees for the first time. If so, we will file a new hire report on your behalf as soon as you have completed setup. If they are existing employees select no, I’ve paid all these employees before. In order to ensure accurate end of year W-2 reporting, we will now need to gather your employee’s year-to-date gross pay. If you paid any employees this year who are no longer working for you, we need to collect some information from them, remember we will be generating their W2 forms at the end of the year. If you select yes, we will collect their Name and Addresses for each of the employees no longer working for you. Next, we will help you transfer your Year to Date records over to Square. Please read the instructions that pertain to your provider. Simply download the requested reports and drag and drop the files into this screen. We now have all of your previous reports. If we have any questions we will proactively reach out to you. Next you will be asked to authorize Square Payroll as your Reporting Agent. The information entered on this form must match what you’ve registered with the IRS. Finally, review all the information you entered. Congrats. You are all signed up for Square Payroll.

This section also ensures the understanding of the Reserve Component Survivor Benefit Plan (RC-SBP) Program. Once you receive your 20 year letter you have 4 options that will impact your retirement pay and benefits. These options are; retired reserve, discharge, remain in the guard, and the stand by reserve. Planning for Retirement Before 20 Years of Service If you are planning on retirement from the National Guard there is some information you should know before you reach 20 years of service. In order to earn the maximum retired pay at age 60 you should start planning for retirement early to earn the maximum retirement point each year. Click for more information: Army, Air Guard 20 Years of Service Information Once you have completed 20 years of service you should learn about your retirement benefits. Some of these benefits must be claimed within 90 days of receiving your 20 year letter. Gray Area Retirees Gray area Retirees are soldiers who have completed 20 years of service but have not reached the age for retired pay. While in this period there is some information on benefits you should know. Click for more information. Army, Air Guard Applying For Retirement Pay Soldiers who have completed 20 years of service and reached the age to receive retired pay must submit a packet. Retirement pay is not automatic and must be applied for. Some soldiers are eligible to receive pay earlier than age 60. Click for more information: Army, Air Guard TRICARE at age 60 and ID Cards Once you reach age 60 and apply for retired pay you will await a response from HRC Ft Knox for your approval letter. This letter is what you will take with you, and your spouse if applicable, to any ID Card facility to receive your retired ID card(s). Once there, you will also verify that your DEERS enrollment is correct. This is important because you are now eligible and enrolled into Tricare Standard with the option to upgrade to Tricare Prime based off your home of record. There are no monthly premiums with Tricare standard. You as the retiree will be responsible for any co-pays. At age 65 you become eligible for Medicare Part B, and your Tricare transitions to Tricare for Life. The Retirement Office recommends enrolling in Medicare Part B because as soon as you are eligible for Medicare Part B, Tricare becomes secondary. The advantage of enrolling in Medicare Part B is that Medicare will file to Tricare for you when it has completed its payments. If you have any other insurance, you as the customer will be responsible for filing to Tricare for the remainder of any charges accrued.

This is my 1st video on this channel WHAT IS AN ACH AND HOW TO DO IT? I am only using PAYPAL as an example. This is what happens with most places that will use ACH. The Payflow ACH (Automated Clearing House) Payment Service permits you to electronically send payments to sellers for either single-entry or recurring payments by directly debiting from your checking or saving accounts. The most common uses of ACH are on-line bill payment, mortgage and loan reimbursement, and direct deposit of payroll. ACH payments are an economical and cost-reducing alternative to paper checks and credit cards. The advantages of ACH Payments provide customers and sellers with an alternate to credit cards and checks. ACH payments are electronic payments that are created once the client provides an originating institution, corporation, or other customer (originator) authorization to debit directly from the customer's checking or saving account for the aim of bill payment. Customers who select ACH payment must 1st authorize to debit their checking account for the amount due. Authorization must conform to the requirements of the ACH operating Rules and should be either written and signed, or electronically displayed. When you go to authorize your bank account to be used. You will ba asked to give them your bank ROUTING NUMBER & ACCOUNT NUMBER. Here in an example. Today, Payflow ACH Payment supports the subsequent payment types: Electronic Check - TEL and web payments Check Conversion - POP, ARC, and RCK payments Payflow ACH Payment perform the payment in 2 elements. within the Debit/Sale payment example below, the Payflow ACH Payment service 1st moves the cash from your checking account and then moves the cash to the others checking account. You visit the biller's web site. after your authentication (user name and password), the biller's web server presents the asking info. Then you review the bill. after you schedule a payment their web site collects the payment info, and using Payflow, securely sends it to PayPal for process on the date specified by you. PayPal prepares the ACH payment info and delivers it for ACH submission to the originating depository financial institution (ODFI) by electronic transmission over a secure connection. The ACH payments are submitted to the ODFI on the your-specified payment date. The ODFI processes the ACH payment info and electronically delivers the data to the ACH network operator (Federal Reserve). The ACH network operator electronically distributes the ACH items to the your bank (RDFI). The federal reserve credits the ODFI's bank account on settlement day for the value of all ACH debits deposited, and debits the RDFI's checking account for the value of ACH items received. PayPal then initiates a secondary transaction to maneuver the money into the biller's checking account. Your periodic bank statements replicate ACH payments. Merchants are notified of ACH payments on their bank statements. When you authorize A payment you must make sure you have money in your account. If not you will get overdraft fees depending on your bank. Now be advised that when you do this there will be a waiting period of up to 3 days to confirm. The institution you authorize will put in one or two test payments to your bank which will be less than a dollar. After the payments are made you will go to the institutions website to confirm the payments. They will then retake their payments back. After that when you use the ACH to send your money it will take up to 3 business days for them to get your deposit. Saturday and Sunday is excluded in the business days. It is also the same amount of time to receive money as well.

People who are currently receiving SS or SSI disability benefits understand what I'm talking about. Except for a few special circumstances, everyone has to switch over to direct deposit and paper checks are no longer being sent out. Why did the SSA make the switch to direct deposit? According to a House hearing this past September, it all boils down to money. While processing one check can cost the Government up to $1.05, direct deposit is a much more affordable $0.09 per person. More then $600 Million has already been saved. Other reasons for making this switch is that thieves are unable to steal direct deposit's like they can with paper checks.
