Student Exchange Programs: Pros and Cons | Hungama Kids

02:07
Hungama Kids brings Information and Tips for all Teenagers. Let's know about the advantages and disadvantages of the Student Exchange Program Hello Friends In today’s times, as the world is converging, so are students. Many students are getting enrolled in student exchange programs and are trying to fetch out a better future by going to other countries and getting better education and experience Now, this process has both good and bad sides to it. So let's talk about Student Exchange Programs. The best part of this program is - new educational opportunities. Students can learn and participate in a lot of courses that are not available in the conventional education system of a certain country. Moreover, varied culture, languages, handling life independently and making new friends, all these factors help the students, not just academically but also in their overall personality development thus making him or her a better and progressive individual. Well, looking at the other side of the coin, many a times students had to face and deal with a lot of problems under such programs and unfortunately, many of them had to come back before even completing their courses. the problems can be of language, culture and many times despite being surrounded by people, students suffer from loneliness. Another huge factor is the expenses. Traveling, accommodation, medication, food and education expenses can sometimes take a toll on student and can be a big concern for students. So that was a short talk about the student exchange program. To watch more such info-taining videos, do subscribe to our channel and don’t forget to like and share this video. What is STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM? What does STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM mean?

02:10
What is STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM? What does STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM mean? STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM meaning - STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM definition - STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. A student exchange program is a program in which students from a secondary school or university study abroad at one of their institution's partner institutions. A student exchange program may involve international travel, but does not necessarily require the student to study outside of his or her home country. For example, the National Student Exchange program (NSE) offers placements throughout the United States and Canada. Foreign exchange programs provides students with an opportunity to study in a different country and environment experiencing the history and culture of another country. The term "exchange" means that a partner institution accepts a student, but does not necessarily mean that the students have to find a counterpart from the other institution with whom to exchange. Exchange students live with a host family or in a designated place such as a hostel, an apartment, or a student lodging. Costs for the program vary by the country and institution. Participants fund their participation via scholarships, loans, or self-funding. Student exchanges became popular after World War II, and are intended to increase the participants' understanding and tolerance of other cultures, as well as improving their language skills and broadening their social horizons. Student exchanges also increased further after the end of the Cold War. An exchange student typically stays in the host country for a period of 6 to 10 months. International students or those on study abroad programs may stay in the host country for several years. Some exchange programs also offer academic credit.

One of the Many Benefits of Being an Exchange Student in Thailand...

07:13
Being an exchange student means a lot of things. Specifically, it means you are an ambassadorial representation of your country. With that comes the struggle to understand a new language, a completely different culture, and a whole new set of customs. But this is all stuff they tell you before you leave. What they don't tell you is that you will be a FOREIGNER: also known as an amazing, pale-skinned, light-haired and light-eyed beauty. And you will be praised for it. And you will also be coerced into wearing several layers of makeup, too much hairspray, and ugly, poofy dresses while dancing in front of large groups of people against your own will. :) Because, you're an exchange student, and you'll definitely try anything.

Compact car exchange program offers tax benefits for new purchases

00:50
10년 넘은 경유차 폐차후 새차 사면 세감면... 車업체 할인경쟁 Starting today, those who own a compact car ten years or older can save big on taxes if they scrap it and buy a new one. According to a bill passed in parliament last week, the individual consumption tax on the new car will be lowered from 5 percent down to 1-and-a-half percent. Combined with a waiver on education tax and V-A-T, that could mean savings of over 1-point-4 million won or about 12-hundred U.S. dollars. The program will run through next June. Demand for new cars has fallen since a special tax benefit expired this past summer. In addition to the government's new incentive program, local automakers Hyundai and Kia are adding their own year-end sales and promotions... which could allow customers to save up to 4-million won on a new compact car. Benefits of Book Exchange program :   Students can get access to thousands of books – non-academic and academic. Cost of each book would be as low as INR10-15, as it’s an exchange and not a purchase. In this case, a student would not even be paying for shipping. Imagine – a current second year student could place their first-year books for exchange, benefiting the first-year student immensely. Same for 3rd and 4th year students benefiting their small little community in the college. Would inculcate a healthy reading habit among students, besides bringing in a sense of camaraderie and belonging.  Contribute our bit to the environment by recycling and not buying books.   We have seen from the past that such programs tend to build a sense of community and enhances the image of the institution within the student – parent – teacher eco-system during admission and placement seasons. Upon completion of verification, Siteabook would credit your account with the number of books, that could be exchanged.  Once approved you would get a notification of the same, post which you could choose the books that you want to get and pay the nominal courier charges, and Siteabook would courier those books to you. Any book ( except Pornography, explicit materials and notebooks ), all books – academic or non-academic, children’s books, fiction, – all are welcome This entire process would take 7-10 days, post receipt of the request.
